The Peru Travel was born in 2005 as a collective of people who enjoy the challenge and the excitement of walking the remote and spectacular pathways of the Andean world that lead to Machu Picchu. As a direct result of these experiences, we began taking small groups of friends and acquaintances along routes through amazing natural scenery, combining these experiences with cultural and mystical interests. The success of these trips encouraged us to start a business with the objective of sharing our experiences with friends and visitors, offering them reasonable, sustainable prices, and at the same time helping our travelers become sensitive to the importance of these routes and how to enjoy them in sustainable ways.

At The Peru Travel, we are committed to making sure our tours not only support the local economy, but also show respect to different cultures. We accomplish this by employing local guides, porters, mule drivers, and cooks, and by using family-run lodging during the majority of our trips, where you the traveler can develop relationships with local community members. We welcome travelers who, like us, wish to promote better understanding, sensitivity, and tolerance among people of different cultures and origins.

With The Peru Travel, trips are always made in small groups, with an average size of 8 people and a maximum of 16. We know this is important in order not to damage or disturb the natural environment along the way, and also because it is easier to make real contact with local populations in small groups. Further, in our experience, small groups lend themselves to developing a sense of camaraderie and friendship among fellow travelers.

Come travel with us, and get to know Peru and Machu Picchu in a different way!
